As a result of this topic a group was formed and created the AUCKLAND ACTORS LABORATORY:
"The Actors Laboratory is a series of regular and drop in style classes with top industry professionals to keep working actors inspired, match fit and to create a sense of community.
Starting in 2010 it will offer 2 hour classes with a varied and exciting bunch of people, offering you a range of insight and inspiration. The fabulous practitioners include : Miranda Harcourt, Shane Bosher, Brita McVeigh, Willem Wassenaar, Cameron Rhodes, Sylvia Rands, Christian Penny, Sara Wiseman... and many more.
Classes are $15 or $12 for equity members. We will be hosting these classes at a variety of familiar locations around the city, including The Basement. Classes will be on a Monday from 5-7pm.
According to the tutor class sizes will vary, and people will be taken on a first in first served basis. Due to demand 24 hours notice is required if you can't make it. Classes will require varying levels of expertise and experience, however the majority will require a willingness to participate and be challenged.
Please join the facebook group so you can be kept in the loop with news and class announcements.
