Film/TV/theatre industry for costume designers

I am from the UK and hoping to emigrate to New Zealand in 2 years after I have finished my Costume design course.

I have not much of an idea about the industry out in New Zealand and wondered if anyone could tell me about it, if the industries are doing well and what the best way is to get into the industries as a costume designer.
