Statue of the Maori Chief and Wahine

At the Wellington Railway Station foyer back in the 1970-80's, was a life size statue of a Maori Chief and his Wahine. I know it was taken somewhere in wellington but where, im not to sure.
Would anyone know the whereabout of the final resting place of this Statue.

It's on the waterfront behind the boatshed by the lagoon. This is a replica of the original though, not sure where the original one is.
