SPARK INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF MEDIA, ARTS AND DESIGN
Wintec’s School of Media Arts initiated Spark in 1998 as a means for Media Arts students to access and share thinking with national and international practitioners at a level rarely available in Hamilton.
Spark has been a dynamic annual event ever since and has, without fail, attracted an impressive list of presenters who work at the cutting edge of their profession. Each year Spark invites between 12 and 20 visiting speakers to Hamilton.

Our aim is to offer specialised presentations and first-hand practical workshops by invited artists from the world of film, fashion, photography, graphic design, music, painting & sculpture, performance art, TV media and journalism. Spark is a distinctive event where practitioners from a variety of artistic domains come together to establish creative inter-media dialogues in the conducive atmosphere of like minded poeple. In the true spirit of a creative mix, the range of disciplines is neither industry nor art-form specific.
