Stand by us we're making a stand for you.

The Hikoi will converge at the bottom of Queen street by 12 noon on May 25 before peacefully walking together to the Town Hall, and Aotea Suqare.

We want Tamaki Makaurau - Auckland the diverse, inclusive, soulful and energetic city it can be.

    Kupu Rere (fast, flying word)

    Themed on Matariki (Maori new year), Kupu Rere (fast, flying word) is an annual poetry slam held in Auckland city during the time of Matariki in June / July. All poets (18 years +) are eligible to participate - bring three poems that are inspired by Matariki.

    Three cash prizes are awarded for the best poems (as
    judged by a panel) on the theme of Matariki (Maori New Year).

    Kupu Rere will be held on 4 July 010, at The Classic, 321 Queen Street, Auckland City.
