Mediarts Showcase 2009 - dates announced

Media Arts students prepare to showcase work

With the end of semester imminent, students at Wintec’s School of Media Arts are busily preparing for the 2009 Media Arts Showcase – painting, directing, recording, illustrating, editing, designing, sewing, photographing, and much more.

The renowned Showcase collection of end-of-year shows offers a great opportunity for the community to spot an exciting range of creative talent and celebrate the hard work of Media Arts students through 2009. It also offers graduating students a chance to show their portfolios of work to potential employers and industry figures, as they prepare to move into the workforce.

As well as the lineup appearing on the poster, the Showcase now features a student initiative - the Illustrationeers’ stall, which will be selling original illustrations by Media Arts students from a range of disciplines on the 26th and 27th of November. 6.30 - 9.30 pm   Post-Graduate Film Screening, Gallagher Hub, Wintec (ticketed). Includes “Sharnarthi- A Generation in Exile” by Rituraj Sapkota, “Hidden reflection of beliefs” by Chinthaka Senadeera, and public discussion and feedback following both films
