Ecology, Design, Synergy; is an exhibition of ifa - Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations and Galerie Aedes Berlin, curated by Frank Ockert, presented by the Goethe-Institut in co-operation with Shed^10;Auckland.
About this exhibition: Behnisch Architekten and Transsolar have established and maintained a long-time working relationship, completing numerous international projects. The common foundation of this collaboration is the confidence that high-quality built environments can be realized with less consumption of natural resources. Curiosity, commodity and delight drive this process to discover new technolgies and to improve upon the already achieved. The exhibition, then, is a reflection of the five human senses, whereby topic and form incur a synthesis. Its intent is to affect visitors not only intellectually, but personally in order to illuminate the fact that a sensible and responsible relationship to the built environment concerns everyone. A selection of common projects such as River Park Development in Pittsburgh, Senscity Paradise Universe in Las Vegas, and Norddeutsche Landesbank in Hannover are shown among others.
