MOMENTS : the density of replication
Monique Macfarland is a Massey University student currently undergoing a Bachelor of Design majoring in Photography. MOMENTS : the density of replication is the result of her final year research project.
The basis of the project came about through Monique's interest in the displacement of photography as a result of digital technology and a curiosity of how every day people use snapshots to record their lives. Monique feels that this is an issue for contemporary society as these countless images further add to the over saturation of visual imagery.
MOMENTS : the density of replication features digital montages of personal snapshots that were created in a short space of time of almost the same situation.
