Anton Parsons Exhibition: Time on Your Hands
Many Wellingtonians pass Anton Parson’s work each day; the well-known Invisible City (Braille sculpture) sitting on the corner of Lambton Quay and Grey Streets is one of many major city sculptural works.
Parsons will be showing smaller sculptural works at Suite, in Newtown, Wellington.
His exhibition, Time On Your Hands will open with a function, with the artist, on Friday 25 September 2009 at the gallery.
Anton Parsons graduated from the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts in 1990 majoring in sculpture. He has regularly exhibited in artist run spaces, dealer galleries, curated exhibitions and institutional venues. His work is held in numerous public and private collections and he has successfully realised commissions within both the public and private sectors.
Parsons' major works include The Longest Day, located in the Q&V Building, Queen St, Auckland (2004); Numbers, the Square Palmerston North (2007), and Universe, DRAFTFCB Head Office, Auckland (2008).
