Public Art - from High Brow to the Street
The symposium at Ponsonby Social Club will bring together artists, choreographers, and art managers to discuss the topic "Public Art - from High Brow to the Street."
This is an inquiry in to how to make public art more accessible and socially inclusive.
The event will be a lively conversation between the panelists and the audience. Members of city councils, art managers, buyers, appreciators, administrators and community and ethnic groups will be invited to attend and participate.
There will be the opportunity for participants to network before and after the panel discussion.
The British Council will feedback the salient points and conclusions in ongoing high level discussions with political and executive decision makers including Creative New Zealand, Te Waka Toi, NZ On Air, Te Mangai Paho and others.
