Broken China

Almost A Bird Collective presents Broken China

From the company that presented the controversial award winning play WOLF’S LAIR, BROKEN CHINA is an original new piece that takes audiences on a surreal and highly theatrical ride traveling from vintage New Zealand suburbia to wild and fantastical landscapes of the imagination. Award winning Sophie Roberts and Chelsie Preston Crayford star as two perfect housewives in 1950s New Zealand.

This bold new work is a celebration of the moments that offer us escape, and the joy to be found in smashing teacups and ripping up the lino. The Stepford Wives meets Thelma and Louise.

Created and performed by Sophie Roberts and Chelsie Preston Crayford. Directed by Willem Wassenaar.
