Elimination Rounds

The Drowning Bird, Plummeting Fish and Animal Hour tour.

Hot on the tail of their fearless Clown show Storytime For The Hungry (“Best Outdoor” NZ Fringe 2010) Wellington-based devised theatre company Binge Culture brings you a deluxe combo of two critically acclaimed productions reworked and condensed into one epic evening. Two for the price of one!

Animal Hour is a prime time talent show ambushed by a wildlife documentary, with the most vicious elements of both. Only one contestant is left standing as it gradually disintegrates into Drowning Bird Plummeting Fish (“Best Newcomers” at NZ Fringe 09, and "Most Original Concept" at Dunedin Fringe 09) – an after-party where the beer is warm, the music is shit and the world is ending. In this setting, the party games will be life and death

“Binge Culture get my award for the most exciting new company. Brave, expressive, energetic, hilarious. Their work is messy and explodes off the stage – everything theatre should be. I loved these shows.” Jo Randerson
