Maurice Van CootenI’m Maurice van Cooten a freelance designer for web, graphics and print design, living in Auckland, New Zealand.
I design and code W3C standards compliant websites using XHTML and CSS programming languages incorporated with a dynamic CMS, Textpattern. This PHP driven CMS enables web content editors to update and maintain a websites text and images. I use unobtrusive JavaScript and the DOM, for slide shows and animated functions.
Create logos and graphics, standardised for contemporary digital applications. Make layouts for digital printing, greeting and business cards. Encouraging environmental sustainability in the work flow.
At universities I’ve studied visual art and teaching in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and in Auckland, New Zealand.
