Magdalena Aotearoa Networking Party!

You're invited to a Magdalena Aotearoa Networking Party!
Monday 1 February 2010, from 7pm-10pm
Newtown Hall, Daniel St., Wellington

Please pass this on to anyone who may be interested.

The Networking Party is an evening of networking and information sharing - come and learn what the Magdalena Aotearoa Trust and the Magdalena Project are all about, and network with other theatre practitioners and artists. We'll provide some drinks & nibbles (contributions to the refreshments are welcome).

There will be short presentations from a number of local artists, including Madeline McNamara & Helen Varley Jamieson about their participation at the Transit International Festival of Women's Performance at Odin Teatret, Denmark, last August, and Lisa Maule about Eko Theatre and the Southern Corridor project.

We are interested to hear from other local women theatre practitioners who have forthcoming or recent projects that you would like to share; email info@magdalenaaotearoa.org.nz

Please RSVP by Wednesday 27th Jan (for catering) to info@magdalenaaotearoa.org.nz or online here.

The Newtown hall is opposite The Medditeranian Food Warehouse on Daniel st - just off Constable St in Newtown.

We hope to see you there. Come and meet like-minded people and get inspired!

  • Magdalena Aotearoa Trust

Magdalena Aotearoa Trust is a national network for women in the
performing arts, and is affiliated to the international network The
    Magdalena Project.

Our office and trustees are based in Wellington, but we have members
all over Aotearoa. We publish a newsletter three times a year.

In 1999, we hosted an International Festival of Women in Contemporary
Performance, and in 2002 we have been represented at Magdalena
Pacifica, a festival of women and theatre in Cali and Bogota, Colombia.
Magdalena Aotearoa is part of the Magdalena Project, an international
network of women in contemporary performance.
Since 1986, the Magdalena Project has hosted festivals and workshops
around the world, and there are branches and members all over the world
who are working to support and promote the work
