24 Hour Deadline Theatre Challenge

Armed with a prop, a genre and a trusty laptop, five top Maori playwrights will be given the ultimate deadline: to write a 15-minute play (each) in just 12 hours.

From 8pm on Saturday night the writing begins and 12 hours later the scripts will be ready for stage 2 of the Deadline: to turn it into a stage-ready performance. Throughout Sunday the scripts will be transformed by some of the best directors and actors in the country. Then, at 8pm on Sunday night they will be performed in front of an audience.

Will the writers break their deadline? Will the actors forget their lines? Will be plays be ready? no matter what the outcome, this is one Deadline you won't want to miss!
