Neutral Mask workshop with JOHN BOLTON
The neutral mask is behind every other mask and style of performance, existing in a world of silence, stillness and action between arrival and departure. It is before character, and responds with no idiosyncracies or psychological dialogue.
It is a wonderful tool for all theatre practitioners, allowing the actor to be free of any habitual responses, leading to a more open and fluid contact with both the audience and fellow performer.
Participants will have the opportunity of exploring the elements, colour, the basic human interactions of meeting, working, the journey and bidding farewell as as being given time to create their own scenarios on contemporary and classic themes.
