Below are sample descriptions of some of the introductory short courses we offer:

Introduction to Photoshop

This course will cover basic image manipulation using Photoshop CS. No prior experience is necessary. Students are encouraged to develop their own project towards the end of the course to apply their new skills.

Introduction to Illustrator

Learn how to use Illustrator’s tools to design and draw images, logos, business
stationery and advertisements.

Introduction to InDesign

Adobe InDesign is a powerful software tool for laying out documents, Learn how to use this industry standard software and utilise the fundamental design and layout principles used by designers to create single-page or multi-page documents.

Introduction to Dreamweaver

Building a web page has become extremely popular today. This course will teach you how to use Dreamweaver to build a simple site and how to design sites according to fundamental web design principles.

Introduction to Flash

Learn how to create 2D vector based animations and interactive elements for the web, using Macromedia Flash. This introductory course will teach you how to use the drawing tools, simple animation techniques and how to add interactivity to your animation or Flash web pages using basic ActionScript behaviours.

Introduction to XHTML and CSS Level 1

This course is suited to those with little or no experience of HTML and covers everything you need to know to make a web page, from syntax through to introduction to presenting HTML with CSS.

Introduction to Actionscript

This course is aimed at Flash users who are familiar with Flash as a graphic tool and wish to move on to developing more sophisticated applications using Actionscript - the programming language behind interactive Flash content.

Introduction to After Effects

This course will introduce the creation of motion graphics within industry standard Adobe After Effects. Students willdevelop projects that focus on their particular area of interest within the field of motion graphics.

Introduction to Final Cut Pro

Final Cut Pro is a fully featured video editing application for Macintosh computers. It contains tools for capturing, editing audio and video, compositing, creating titles, motion graphics and compression. This comprehensive workshop is an exercise-based course covering the basic principles of editing and the many features of Final Cut Pro.
