Talk Talk

Michael Laws on Talk Talk

Talk Talk has established itself, and host Finlay Macdonald, as must-see viewing for those who want to get up close and personal with a stellar array of high-achieving New Zealanders.

The half-hour show's ethos is to talk to its guests, not so much about what they do as what makes them tick. And, offering a further clue, the interview subjects are invited to choose their own musical guests.

Guests in this new 15-part series include Whanganui mayor Michael Laws, popular historian James Belich, Catherine Healy of the Prostitutes' Collective, chef Ray McVinnie and businessman Bob Jones.

And the music this time includes performances from rock band Die Die Die, pianist Stephen de Pledge, Dave Dobbyn and Artisan Guns.

In tonight's launch episode presenter Finlay Macdonald interviews Whanganui mayor Michael Laws, with a performance by Auckland band Opensouls.
