First Feature: Challenges for the Director

Predicament.

Script to Screen and the New Zealand International Film Festival present a special filmmakers festival discussion as part of the Wellington Discussion Series.

The directors of three local feature films screening in this year’s festival, Simone Horrocks (After the Waterfall), Jason Stutter (Predicament), and Brendan Donovan (The Hopes and Dreams of Gazza Snell), will talk to MC Simon Marler about the challenges they faced bringing their films to the screen.

The discussion will focus on the writing and development process and on how the filmmakers  managed key creative relationships with actors and heads of departments.
