Faith McManus -The Riders of the Red Manuka

Faith McManus is exhibiting a suite of colour woodcut prints about the fabled Maori Cowboys of the far north, supposedly filmed for a cowboy movie in the 1920's.

Faith's prints conjure up these historic characters and the romance of "The Riders Of The Red Manuka".

    Solander: Works on Paper

Solander: works on paper is a gallery dedicated to NZ and international prints and drawings. The gallery hosts regular exhibitions and holds an extensive selection of prints encompassing contemporary etchings, screenprints, woodcuts, mezzotints as well as papercuts and drawings.

Located in upper Willis st, Solander is in the same building complex as the Mark Hutchins Gallery and a hop skip and a jump away from buzzing Cuba st. There are a variety of artists represented - both emerging and more established - in portfolios held at the gallery. Visit our website solandergallery.co.nz to see the range of luscious artwork we have at hand or call in to see the current exhibition and browse through the folios.

A workshop programme runs through out the year for those interested in learning printmaking or bookbinding techniques, please contact the gallery for details. If you would like to be in the loop about what's on at the gallery you can join our mailing list via the website.

For those looking for a gift, we are happy to advise and coordinate framing or organise it on your behalf, and can offer our expertise when selecting wedding or corporate gifts. We stock extra-special Solander gift vouchers in your choice of denomination if choosing is too tricky.

We accept payment by cash, eftpos, credit card and paypal or other online transfer means.

Join our Solander Card VIP scheme and get a voucher at the end of the year for 5% of the value of your year's purchases (terms and conditions apply).

Located on the street front, there is wheelchair access to the gallery from the neighbouring lane and children are welcome, if supervised by an adult. Please call by if you are in the neighbourhood - we'd love to see you.
