Fusion Form Function - Gartside Survey Exhibition
Brian Gartside’s first full exhibition in more than ten years will mark the re-opening of Papakura Art Gallery from 3 June 2010.
The gallery has been closed since the beginning of the year for major upgrade work and its Grand Opening is scheduled for Thursday 27 May 2010.
The Gartside exhibition, titled Fusion Form Function, will feature his more innovative works alongside his well known domestic ware.
Brian Gartside is also holding a series of free illustrated talks at the Papakura Art Gallery and artists and visitors are encouraged to attend on Wednesday 9 and 16 June 6-8pm.
Fusion form function, an exploration of potter Brian Gartside’s work over the past thirty years opens Thursday 3 June between 5.00 and 8.00 pm. The exhibition closes on Saturday 3 July.
