Impressionist photography began during the lifetimes of the great impressionist painters such as Monet and Cezanne but was at that time considered a servant to artists rather than an art form. Led by visiting fine art photographer Ken Ball, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore a new visual model and so move your photography closer to art. This technique starts by breaking all the traditional rules in photography and then learning to 'see' images in everyday life. The course will include location photo shoots, hands-on cropping, and the preparation of images for albums, books or exhibitions. All your images will be created 'in camera' so no knowledge of computer software is necessary. All that's required is an appreciation of art. Please bring your camera (digital or film), plenty of film, a laptop (if you have one) and/or a memory stick. Bring your lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided. Limited to 15 participants
