So you want to run a bookshop
Booksellers NZ Membership Manager, Cherie Arnott said the association is approached regularly by people who are contemplating, or even dreaming, about opening a bookshop.
This seminar and workshop is designed to give those interested practical advice on everything from renting the right premises, to
obtaining and managing stock, to not being afraid to visit the curious world of childrens books.
Three experienced booksellers, John McIntyre of The Childrens Bookshop Wellington, Anna Hunt of Marsden Books, Wellington and Juliet Blyth, vicbooks Wellington will present the seminar.
The session will include:
choosing a location, costs and capital investment, rewards, and the lure of a good book, also the commitment needed to turn a dream into a successful business.
This seminar will be held on Saturday 13 March 2010 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Wellington from 9.30 am to 12 pm.
