ALLEN GUILFORD MEMORIAL CELEBRATION

Allen Guilford passed away on March 10 2009.

We are organizing a memorial celebration of Allen’s life in film, to be held on March 10, 2010, at Park Road Post facilities here in Miramar, Wellington.

The plan is for formal ceremonies to begin at 2pm with a review of Allen’s work as a Cinematographer, some formal tributes followed by an open forum with anyone welcome to speak about Allen. We anticipate this running for around an hour to an hour and a half.

We would love to hear from anyone who has access to raw footage, or complete films, that Allen was involved with. We are approaching the Film Archive for material. Park Road Post has agreed to digitize and package our selected materials to their usual high standard, and screen in the theatre there.  We are also looking for any ‘behind the scenes’ footage, stills, and audio of Allen.

Following the Memorial Celebration the restaurant area at Park Road Post will be available for the after match function. If any of you have access to bulk wine deals, or are able to donate a bottle or 12, please let us know and we can factor that into the catering budget.

So spread the word, pass the emails around, and let’s get together to remember our mate.
