US Guest Wendall Thomas: Character Transformation
Script to Screen, in association with the New Zealand Film Commission, presents a Writer’s Room with renowned US teacher, script consultant and screenwriter Wendall Thomas as part of the Canterbury Industry Day 2010.
Wendall Thomas has been at the forefront of script development for two decades, working for companies including RKA, Disney, Universal, NBC and consulting on screenplays for the UK Film Council and Scottish Screen.
Wendall will focus on the vital importance of linking character arc to structure, and how to create that arc through a series of believable and dramatic character decisions. Director, producer and current NZFC development executive Paul Swadel will MC the discussion.
