ONE NIGHT WONDER

'One Night Wonder’ is an art event for artists allied with educational institutions to showcase their work. Often other employment commitments shadow art-making practice and art is created but rarely exhibited. Commonly works are made by artists and then filed away in quiet anticipation of being exhibited ‘one day’ – or ‘one night’. Now some of the works that have been in waiting can crawl out of the woodwork and be experienced by the public on the weekend of Saturday 27th March. One Night Wonder lets the art works out and allows artists to show what they do ‘behind the scenes’ of art education and art institutions. ‘One Night Wonder’ will exhibit some of the finest from the catch of a net cast across New Zealand’s education and arts networks. All works will be for sale on the night. Coinciding with the Waitakere Open Studio Weekend, One Night Wonder is a ‘cash and carry’ exhibition that promises to be well worth a visit.
