This years Matariki exhibition combines the annual Auckland Festival of Photography with established Matariki celebrations. Photographers and multimedia/film artists were invited to submit work that echo one of the core themes of Matariki; a time of remembrance. The exhibition is a way of remembering those who are gone from our lives, the places we hold dear as well as cherished milestones or forgotten events.
