Make a wall hanging like no other using the exciting area of 2D textiles. Use your favourite found materials and combine them with techniques like embroidery, appliqué, painting and beadwork to create something truly original to put on your wall.

Rachelle Pedersen
Over the last eight years Rachelle Pedersen has run her own business which crosses between the fashion and art industries. Rachelle makes one-off pieces of clothing, accessories and wall pieces, and has sold them in boutique stores in throughout New Zealand and Australia. Her work is very unique and has quite often received media acclaim. Rachelle has had work in over 20 exhibitions including a solo show at Objectspace and Window Gallery in Auckland, as well as Alice Euphemia in Melbourne. Rachelle won the ‘moonlight sonata’ section of the Trash to Fashion Awards in 2006.

We are a public art gallery with a continuous exhibition programme in seven exhibition spaces. The gallery spaces have a strong reputation in Aotearoa New Zealand for primarily exhibiting the work of contemporary New Zealand artists.
