Soapstone Carving Workshop – Beginners

Fee: Early Bird Special $195 (Includes 1 x 4lb block of Soapstone (colour of your choice) and use of basic tools; additional and bigger blocks and tools available for sale). Payment required in full prior to 2 May or $225 2 May or after.  All fees must be paid prior to the start of the course.

Course Outline:

This course is perfect for anyone who would like to try their hand at stone Sculpture/Carving. Starting with the basic techniques, students will learn a wide range of general hand carving skills and those specific to soapstone carving.  Soapstone is a beautiful stone to carve with amazing colour variations.
