Whitecliffe 10
The Design and Arts College of New Zealand (D&A) invite you to attend the Year 4 BFA Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design Graduate Exhibition,
'Whitecliffe 10'.
The annual exhibition culminates four years of study at D&A in association with Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design in Auckland.
Whitecliffe 10 opens on Friday 19 November at 5.30pm. Eight Bachelor of Fine Arts students will be showcasing a unique and diverse range of cutting edge works in D&A's gallery space at 116 Worcester St, Christchurch.
This year the exhibition will feature a variety of contemporary disciplines including installation art, lens based media, video and sound works. The work covers an array of themes spanning interpersonal relationships, praxeology, beauty and danger.
This year’s group of students bring their various backgrounds into their works, adding to their diverse outcomes.
“Whitecliffe 10 showcases the brilliance of these emerging artists. It epitomises what Fine Arts is about at D&A and Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design. There is a diversity and depth in the works and a cutting edge style that sets our colleges apart. None of our students graduate with a single speciality, we produce contemporary artists” says Janet Abbott, D&A Fine Arts Programme Coordinator.
The exhibition will run until Thursday 9 December, 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
The public are welcome to come in and view these innovative works.
