Meisner 4 Teens
Sanford Meisner's Acting Technique, taught at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre in New York, promotes individuality and confidence while giving students practical and effective tools to build character and performance.
After 8 years teaching adult actors, The Wellington Actors Studio has now adapted the intensive Meisner Technique for young actors who are serious about training but are still developing their understanding of themselves and how to use that self-knowledge in performance.
The new Meisner 4 Teens Acting Programme focuses on the improvisational and instinctive exercises from the technique in the search for emotional truth and realistic behaviour initially in exercises and then working with scripts.
Acting is an ability, and an ability is a skill, and the cool thing about a skill is it's learnable. With the nuts & bolts tools of this technique and a little elbow juice your talent can be revealed.
The Meisner Acting Technique is known in the USA as the acting methodology that works! It's practical, effective, and while it is used in theatre and other performance mediums, it is particularly ideal and impressive when working in film and television.
Which class is for you?

Thursdays 14th October – 2nd December (8 weeks)
Time: All classes are 4.15pm - 5.45pm
Class size is limited to 10. Course participants have varying degrees of acting experience and training but you must be committed and ready to play.
