Public talk: United we stand – opportunities for museums worldwide

National Services Te Paerangi invites you to hear Nick Poole (UK), Chief Executive of the Collections Trust.

The Collections Trust is the new UK organisation for collections. Their aim is to improve the quality of life by ensuring that cultural collections are available for use and enjoyment by everyone, now and for the future.

Nick’s mission at the Collections Trust is ’to help museums give people the best possible experience.’ He will share with us what he thinks are the current issues having an impact on museums and their audiences:

· contemporary collecting

· cost-saving

· environmental efficiency

· using collections more effectively

· addressing issues of relevance and significance.
