Exhibition opening 2 Sep, 5:30pm ArtsPost Gallery
Please join us for Yaniv's exhibition opening at ArtsPost on Thursday 2 September after work at 5:30pm
This exhibition is called "Visualising Climate Change" [see invite attached]
Media campaigns based on science rely on images of graphs - for instance those of rising temperatures. These visuals are strong - but only affect some people. These campaigns have failed to create the massive action needed to mitigate climate change. It is time to actually come face to face with the future images of our cities and landscapes! It is time to create emotional reactions in our audiences that will be created by facing images of sinking houses and disappearing communities! What will your city look like after the sea level has risen? What might fertile lands look like once ruined?
This opening will be coupled with the launch of Yaniv's second book "Changing the World - One Painting at a Time".
We have also orchestrated some surprises for you - Arianne Zilberberg will perform her "Climate What?" monologue. Also some art work will be consumed during the exhibition opening... curious? You'll want to attend to find out how...
