Wellington hui on arts and inclusion

Journeys to Inclusion in the Arts Community is a free hui, to be hosted by IHC in partnership with Arts Access Aotearoa.
 
The hui coincides with the IHC Telecom Art Awards ceremony in Wellington on the evening of 21 September. It is open to all individuals and organisations interested in the topic of arts and inclusion, and will be held at the Newtown Community Centre from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

The day will begin with a keynote address by MP Catherine Delahunty, Green Party spokesperson for arts and culture, and for disability issues.

This will be followed by two presentations (by Glen McDonald and Rhonda Swenson of Vincents Art Workshop and Suzanne Vesty of Spark Studio) and facilitated workshop sessions covering four topics:

• models of best practice
• what inclusive governance means
• research and evaluation
• collaboration and resource-sharing.
 
We are grateful to Wellington City Council for providing refreshments and lunch.

Spaces for this event is limited and registration is essential.
