Introduction to Producing for Dance
This two hour workshop will provide an overview of the basics of producing, with a particular focus on dance. It will be useful for emerging producers and choreographers, currently producing or considering producing a show.
Tutor, Felicity Letcher has produced for film, theatre, and dance, including Michael Parmenter’s, 2008 season of ‘TENT’.
Workshop outline:
- Who is the producer?
- The role - from within and without.
- Putting your project together - the concept, the budget, the team, funding, stakeholders, marketing, the audience.
- The future of your project - touring, branding.
- Who to be in touch with?
- Where to get more information / support / guidance / resources?
This workshop is limited to 10 places to ensure quality. All are welcome but bookings are essential to avoid disappointment.
