a blue true dream of sky :: Exhibition in Samoa
I moved to Samoa in 2010, where I have been exploring the island through my viewfinder.
My solo exhibition a blue true dream of sky, opens this month at The Vanya Taule'alo Gallery in Apia, Samoa.
Playing with a symphony of colours, my images explore flowers as if they were poems, they are dreamlike and whimsical, and can be seen not only in Samoa, but also on my flickr site: http://www.flickr.com/photos/imagesbyrachel/sets
The namesake image of my exhibition – a blue true dream of sky - will be exhibited at LeSa Gallery in Petone.

RachelI am a photographer from Aotearoa living in Samoa. Inspired by the vibrancy of tropical colours, my focus at present is on creating surreal macro images of Samoan flora and fauna, with some on-the-side portraits and documentary images of Samoan life.
