A solo exhibition of Sofia Minson's New Zealand landscape oil paintings will be on display this summer at the Gallery Helena Bay.  

The gallery with its neighbouring cafe, is a tranquil arts haven nestled in a valley of native bush just south of Russell, Northland, New Zealand.

Inspired by her mixed Maori, Swedish and Irish heritage, Minson's mystical, smoothly blended works explore ancient Maori myths, the land of Aotearoa and our rich voyaging history.  

Several large seascape works depicting intricately carved waka as well as surreal mountainous landscapes will be showcased.
