Mozart's School for Lovers
This February dare to open your mind and set your pulse racing with New Zealand’s first ever Operagasmic production of Mozart’s School for Lovers.
Operagasmic has already produced two highly successful opera productionsin the UK and is now in New Zealand to challenge the common perception of opera by giving classic operas total facelifts, with modern settings and plots.
To be held in the Mighty Mighty Bar on Cuba Street on the 10th and 12th of February, this is a contemporary twist on the operatic cocktail of love, jealousy, comedy and sex. This opera follows four young lovers as they discover some uncomfortable truths about themselves and love.
Away from the stuffy confines of the theatre, the young, fresh-faced and talented singers will challenge your perception of opera. Sung in English, the night will be guided by two devastatingly attractive and utterly irresistible compères.
