Have your say. The Auckland Plan
What do you think about Auckland?
What are the good, the bad, and the things that are most important to you? Your answers to this survey will feed in to a range of council plans and policies over the coming year including the Auckland (Spatial) Plan. Closing date 21st February 2011. Have your say.
We are keenly aware that work on the Auckland Plan (Spatial Plan) is moving apace and that the creative sector has much to add to the development.
Currently on the Auckland Council website there is information about the Auckland Plan process, and an invitation for people to provide feedback via an online survey. Auckland Council intends to use the survey feedback to “feed in to a range of council plans and policies over the coming year including the Auckland (Spatial) Plan.”
You and/or your organisation may wish to use this avenue of communication to express your views concerning the role that the arts and creative sectors can play in the development of Auckland. The closing date is 21st February 2011.

Member Profile
- Creative Coalition
In the transition to the new Auckland governance, the creation of an Auckland Arts & Culture Advisory Group by Auckland’s arts and culture sector was strongly recommended by members of the ATA. (The sports and recreation sector have undertaken this type of regional strategy development some time ago.)
After three workshops attended by members of the local creative sector across 2010-2011, Creative Coalition was born. We now continue to act as a conduit between council (and other bodies) and the Auckland creative sector, championing the arts and creative expression in Auckland.
