Trail blazers of what can only be described as the unique sound of Freaky Meat return to the Tool Room with support from touring poetry force Randall Stephens (Aus).
This will be a ticket only event. Freaky Meat's last gig at The Tool Room was a sell out success. Notorious Performance Poet Shane Hollands will burn through sizzling sets of dreamscapes and nightmares driven by the superb musicianship of John McNabb, Rod Redgrave & James Percy.

The sum of a remainder of an unbalanced equation, the eventuality of an anomaly... While it remains a burden assiduously avoided, it is not unexpected, and thus not beyond a measure of control. Which has led you, inexorably... here.
I am the human number, one, perfect and indivisible. The beginning to my own ends. I talk a lot of shit. Coming down from the mountain with much wisdom, but only so I can watch DVDs, steal your food and make a mess.

Bright Yellow Beetle RecordsBright Yellow Beetle Records (BYBR) was launched in Auckland, New Zealand in 2009.
In 2011 , after running several events all over Auckland, BYBR made it's first official signing with Auckland based Beat Speak Act, Freaky Meat.
Leading the way in a new approach to operating as a record label, BYBR aims to make the title of 'professional musician' a viable form of employment in New Zealand.
Our focus is to support our artists in every way we can, as well as assisting with funding their projects through alternative means such as fundraising gigs, sponsorship etc so that they can focus on what they do best - creating amazing music.
BYBR works on a project by project basis, building a relationship with each artist to collectively achieve their artistic goals. All projects are negotiable; we believe all artists are individuals and approach every project with a blank slate.
