Digital delivery & projection workshop

The recent release of My Wedding and Other Secrets brought with it the need to deliver to New Zealand cinemas on 35mm AND a full studio standard Digital Cinema Package (DCP). Images & Sound took it upon themselves to get the technology so the DCP and hard drives could be produced. Trailers were also delivered digitally as well as on 35mm.

New Zealand cinemas are part way through the transition to becoming fully digital; so the more you know about delivering on DCP the better. Unless you can deliver a DCP, your film’s exhibition options will be become increasingly limited.

Join Grant Baker and Tristan Simpson (Images & Sound), Christine Massey (National Distribution Manager, Sony) Bruce Blackley (Head Projectionist, Event Cinemas) and Paul Davis (producer My Wedding and Other Secrets) to learn more about New Zealand’s digital roll out and what it means for producers.
