Auckland Festival of Photography: Geoffrey Batchen

Repetition and Difference: The Dissemination of Photography

Recently appointed as Professor of Art History, Victoria University of Wellington, Geoffrey Batchen's work as a lecturer, writer and curator focuses on the history of photography.

Join Professor Batchen for an illustrated talk on the effects and implications of photography's relationship to reproduction.  By exploring this one crucial issue, he aims to present a way of thinking about photography that can match the extraordinary complexity of the photographic experience.
