Auckland Festival of Photography: Stephen Dupont
Afghanistan or The Perils of Freedom
From 1993 to 2009 the Australian award-winning photojournalist, documentary filmmaker, and war correspondent Stephen Dupont covered everything from the civil war and the rise of the Taliban to the launch of Operation Enduring Freedom and the ongoing war on terrorism.
Stephen is internationally recognised for his work in some of the world's most dangerous areas, including Afghanistan, Burma, Cambodia, Iraq, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Somalia, and Zaire. He will discuss his work and his 15-year career with war photography and will be joined by Simon Wilson, Editor of Metro magazine, who will chair the question and answer session.
