In association with Emerson’s Brewery...

17-19 & 24-26 March, Bennu Restaurant, from 10:00pm, $5

Join us at the Fancy Time Parlour for an outstanding programme of live music, comedy, and show and tell. Hosted by Radio One’s Aaron Hawkins, it’s magical mayhem in a stylish setting with atmosphere to burn – don’t miss the action.

THURSDAY 17: Gypsy punks the Barons Of Tang (Melbourne) fire up the Fancy Time Parlour with bubbling soul from sonic superheroes The Strange Girls (Dn) and That Indian Guy Tarun Mohanbhai.

FRIDAY 18: Folk historicists The Eastern (Chch) channel past heroes, AJ Sharma (Dn) presents a fragile collection of heartbreaking ephemera and Sarah Harpur (Wgtn) swings jokes.

SATURDAY 19: Dim the lights for smouldering cabaret outfit Bird Wizdom (Adelaide), be hypnotised by the Baroque piano improvisations of Nick Knox (Dn) and the Jedi mind tricks of Raybon Kan (Akld).

THURSDAY 24: King Loser/Loves Ugly Children/Bored Games offshoot Psychic Maps (Dn), plays alongside Matt Langley (Dn), writer of the Country Song Of The Year 2010, with Wilson Dixon (Colorado) kickin’ heels in between.

FRIDAY 25: Electro stalker poppers Ed Muzik & The Burning Sensations (Chch) get freaky after some glitter treats from Dr Glam (Dn) and the loudest shirt in the room belongs to Steve Wrigley (Akld).

SATURDAY 26: End your Fancy Time experience with the twisted folk rock genius of The Maybe Pile (Dn), mystic eclecticism from Goulash Archipelago (Hamilton), and the comic stylings of Irene Pink (Akld).
