Auckland Zinefest is an annual event that aims to promote, foster and celebrate zines and their culture in our fair city.

The AKZF team will be curating a mini zine-market at March's First Thursdays, featuring some of Auckland's most prolific zine makers. This is the ideal opportunity to purchase some new works to add to your collection in the lull between zine festivals.

Spaces are still available, though you must apply before Monday 21st February 2011. More information on how to apply for a stall can be found here.

What is a zine?
A zine - pronounced "zeen" - is an independent or self-published booklet, customarily created by physically cutting and pasting text and images together before photocopying and distributing; though they range in print production, content and artistic merits, due to the complete freedom allowed to a zine-maker.
