Movies in Parks | 2008-2010 Hamburg Animation Awar
Auckland Council's Movies in Parks brings you the Hamburg Animation Award which is an annual international competition for animators to profile their work to an international audience.
When: 8:00pm - 9:30pm (approx), Sun 13 March
Where: Festival Garden, Aotea Square
In recognition of the strategic alliance with Hamburg, New Zealand was selected as the profile country of the 2008 competition. Since then, Auckland Council has annually promoted the competition. Over the past three years, Auckland has submitted 62 entries (including three winning entries) and this evening, we screen a selection of the most successful of these.

- City planning and management of projects like Aotea Quarter development
- Provision of world class library resources
- Support of industry associations and business events such as The Big Idea, ART Survive and Thrive forums and Film Auckland
- Delivery of community services to maintain and develop community and recreation facilities and centres
- Support and delivery of community and major events such as Pasifika Festival, Lantern Festival and Music in Parks
