Our next Envisage Presentation Series, brought to you by CoLab in partnership with FILM AUCKLAND, will focus on new developments and opportunities in Designing for Virtual Worlds.
SPEAKER BIOS:
Ngila Dickson won an Academy Award in 2004 for her work on Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.” She earned dual nominations that year, for her costume designs for “The Last Samurai.” In addition, Dickson won a BAFTA Award for her work on “The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers,” a Costume Designers Guild Award, and her third BAFTA Award nomination for “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.” Other international film projects include ‘The International’, “Blood Diamond”, and “The Illusionist”.
Melanie Langlotz, has worked in the film industry since 1992 starting out with Discreet Logic and Softimage as a one of the first demo artists and trainers. Since then, she has worked in post production around the globe as a Flame Artist /operator, a Business Mentor and a Producer/Fashion-Beauty Editor. As the New general Manager for Images & Sound, Melanie leads an experienced team creating unique animations, visual effects and sound design.
Stephen Knightly. Applying gaming principles to businesses and online communities, InGame Director and Pursuit PR Director Stephen Knightly has a track record in using technology for successful marketing and training campaigns. With clients including XBox, MTV Games and Fonterra, Stephens mix of experience makes him ideally placed to advise on the fast-moving worlds of gaming, virtual worlds, consumer technology, marketing and mobility.
