Philanthropy, 'Growing the Pot'
“We need to Increase cultural philanthropy in NZ”
A bold statement from the Ministry of culture and heritage.
But how can an organisation with little resources achieve success in this area? Is it possible to refocus the importance that an organisation places on individual giving, and to grow a culture of philanthropy from amongst our supporters?
James Wilson will present his experience of refocusing Massive Company on increasing individual giving, as the company head’s towards celebrating its 21st anniversary in 2012.
This seminar will address
The role of a board of trustees in a development campaign
- Using audience research and Customer Relationship Management to grow support
- Communications, are you effectively presenting your cause?
- Successful overseas models
James’ presentation will be accompanied by a panel discussion with guests; Anna Connel, Partnerships Manager, Auckland Theatre Company, and Amy Sinclair, Co-Director of the Jambalaya festival, and Fundraising co-ordinator for Q theatre.
Friday 13th May, 9.30am - 11.30am
This seminar will be followed by a one hour networking and discussion opportunity with the ‘Arts Managers Network’ – all seminar attendees are welcome to attend this.
