Capital E Santa Parade After Party
Follow the 2011 Wellington Santa Parade through the streets to Civic Square and join Capital E for the best family after party to ever hit the city!
DJ Elf will be under the silver fern disco ball ready to spin some of your favourite tunes. While Classic Hits’ Dave and Camille, your MCs for the evening, will introduce a stellar line up of acts.
Don’t miss your special message from Father Christmas, then enjoy entertainment from the energising young drummers of Strike Percussion’s Batterie 100, Christmas carols with the Ukulele Institute, a performance from Big Air Cheerleaders and the colourful and animated Junk Monster Puppets with their ingenious costumes made entirely out of recycled materials. Plus popular Balkan Gypsy band, Niko Ne Zna will get you moving with their infectious rhythms.
Kids will be invited to jump on stage and have a boogie with Santa’s elves and special guests Alvin and the Chipmunks and Paddle Pop Lion will be joining us for a dance too!
And if that wasn’t enough, there will be miniature horses to ride on Ilott Green, Christmas wishes to make, free crafts to create and a cartoonist to draw your caricature into an idyllic Christmas scene.
Don’t miss the perfect party to spread a little cheer and get the whole family into the spirit of the festive season!
