Pointy Dog Dance Performance/Workshop

Pointy Dog Dance Co is a group of youthful dancers who make and dance about youthful themes. Their artistic directors include Gaby Thomas (Atamira Maori Dance Company), Katie Burton (WOW, Wearables) and Lucy Miles (Backlit Dance Collective). Our schools programme has the latest collection of lively contemporary dances from this award winning company. 
 
The Performing Arts School of New Zealand offers a range of options for your whole school or smaller dance groups to see and experience their world in 2011 and 2012. We believe this is a great opportunity for the younger  students to attend live dance theatre and know that this show will present a thought provoking and stimulating experience. You are invited to:

Option A                  We come to you! 
 
- Host their interesting and lively 45 minute schools production that is aimed at all ages and levels of school students. Following the 25-30 minute performance there is opportunity for your students to speak with the choreographers and dancers about their work and creative processes.
 
- Host a workshop, which includes a 30 minute contemporary class and rehearsal/ choreographic process workshop co-taught by the dancers and their artistic director.
 
-  Have both!
 
Dates are: 

Wed, Nov 30- Friday  2nd Dec and Monday 5th – Friday 9th December and Monday 12th, between 10.30am – 3.00pm.
 
Option B                  You come to us!
 
- Bring your school to TAPAC Theatre, Western Springs for the schools production and/ or workshop (as above). 
 
Dates are:

Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th December 11am or 1pm
